Our History
Cross Connect Community Outreach was founded in 2017 (NPO No. 189-402) by Pastor Kyle and Nicole Tolman, following years of dedicated service in ministry and on the mission field. Their journey took a pivotal turn while driving through the streets of Krugersdorp—where they were confronted with a heartbreaking reality: groups of children wandering aimlessly, vulnerable to the influence of drug dealers and criminal networks that preyed on their desperation. Moved by a deep sense of urgency and compassion, Kyle and Nicole knew they could not remain passive observers. They felt called to be part of rewriting the story for these children—to break the cycle of neglect, abuse, and exploitation. From that conviction, Cross Connect Community Outreach was born: a beacon of hope, purpose, and protection for vulnerable children and families in the West Rand. What began as a response to visible brokenness has grown into a thriving mission dedicated to restoration, empowerment, and lasting community transformation.
